Some materials emphasize doctrine of and administrative contact with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Materials dated 1941 to 1991.

Contains the administrative records of the Multicultural Education Department, dated 1968 to 1985. Includes memorandums, letters, admission lists, financial records, and publications. Topics include BYU's Navajo Indian scholarship program, Lamanite Generation performance group, interaction with the United States Bureau of Indian Affairs, and various student life programs for Native Americans at BYU, including conferences and student organizations.

Contains administrative materials related to various Multicultural Education Department programs and events, such as Indian Week, conferences, workshops, award banquets, performing groups, scholarships, tours, the Miss Indian BYU Pageant, and other programs related to student life and well-being. The majority of materials were produced or gathered by Howard Rainer, director of Native American Educational Outreach Programs.
